This piece is about me as a piece of life. I did this in response to the question why am I an artist?. I am an artist because I am alive, and for me, life is the greatest form of art and I can respond to every other life form through art. In this piece, I portrayed my spouse, a friend, an animal, and nature. All these are symbolic of my relationship with people and everything alive. I am an artist because I can respond to life. Everything I do as an artist is a form of response to the life that I am, and the life that blossoms everywhere around me.
